Towing trailers with different coupler sizes just got easier thanks to the 180 Hitch 2-ball mount. This ball mount features stainless-steel 2" and 2-5/16" hitch balls on opposite ends of the ball mount platform. Switching to the opposite ball is fast and easy - pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank and simply flip over the platform so that either the 2" or 2-5/16" hitch ball is on top. Slide it back up along the shank to the desired height and reinsert the dual pins, hitch up, and go! Because both balls are contained on the platform, you won't have to keep track of separate balls that must be completely removed and installed each time you need to switch trailers. A dual-sided hitch ball with a 1-7/8" and a 2" hitch ball (WS28CR - sold separately) is also available.
This ball mount's convenient stowable design keeps the ball mount platform out of your way when you're not towing. To stow the ball mount platform, simply pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank. Place the ball mount platform on the backside of the shank facing your vehicle. Reinsert the dual pins to attach the platform to the shank. The 180 Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your application.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Weigh Safe 180 hitch with two ball mount for your two inch hitch receiver. Now this 180 hitch is going to slide into your two inch hitch receiver and it's going to give you a 2 inch and a 2-5/16 inch stainless steel double-sided tow ball making switching tow ball sizes very easy. This is also going to give you a maximum drop of about 8 inches in this orientation. And then when you flip this shank over, you'll get a maximum rise of about 9 inches and you'll have an incremental adjustment of one inch giving you that height adjustability so you can tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. Now when you use the 2-5/16 inch hitch ball, you're gonna have a gross towing weight of 12,500 pounds.
With the 2 inch ball it's gonna be 8,000 pounds. This has a maximum tongue weight of 1500 pounds and this hitch is constructed of aircraft grade aluminum giving you superior strength and durability. The solid block construction is going to give you greater strength than many hollow steel options while maintaining a lightweight and this is going to be rust proof and the clean finish is going to stand the test of time. So even though this is a lighter weight option, this is gonna be very durable, very rugged, very long lasting for you. The stainless steel balls are also corrosion resistant, so the stainless steel balls paired with the aluminum construction of our hitch here, this is gonna be a great option to use around the water like for your boat trailers for instance.
And then this features a dual pin slider lock that's gonna make adjusting the height and switching the tow ball sizes very easy. This does include this rubber cover that's going to protect the lock core from dust and debris. But let me give you just a brief demonstration of how this is going to work. As you can see, we do have four keys and these keys are going to be keyed alike to work with the dual pin slider and our hitch lock, which we'll look at soon here. So I'm just gonna go ahead and insert the key, give that a turn and then that's going to allow me to remove the dual pins here.
By the way, the pins and the housing here are aluminum and then our lock is plated steel. So again, very durable. It's gonna hold up against corrosion. So then that's going to allow me to easily slide this ball platform up and down. So I'm gonna be able to adjust the height and then I can go from the 2 inch ball to the 2-5/16 inch ball, just like that.
And then another feature that this has, which is really nice, is you can stow this. So I'm gonna go ahead and just move this to the back of our hitch. I'm just gonna lift this up like this and so that's going to allow me to mount this to the back of our hitch here and then you'll just line the holes up and slide the dual pins back in. But you can walk behind your truck and you're not gonna have to worry about accidentally banging your shin into the ball mount there. So really great feature that this offers. I'm gonna go ahead and bring this back to the front of the shank here and then turn this around and line up my holes and replace the dual pin here. So I am very impressed with just how smoothly everything operates. You're not gonna be at the back of your vehicle struggling to get the tow ball size changed or the height adjustment changed. It's gonna be very, a very smooth operation. And then this does include this locking hitch pin and this is going to securely mount this to the back of your vehicle and it's gonna be a great theft deterrent. So again, to remove this, just insert the key then that's going to allow you to remove the lock. I wanted to mention a feature that I like about this lock is you don't need the key to stay in the keyway to lock this. So I'm gonna go ahead and lock this head up and close our cover here that protects that keyway. And then when you're ready to lock this back up into your trailer hitch receiver, this is gonna slide that back in and if you notice, it locks without the key. So that's one less thing you're gonna have to worry about when you're locking this into your trailer hitch receiver. So this hitch lock is included. Again, you're gonna get four keys, they're all keyed alike So basically you just need one key for this whole operation. And then some measurements that you might be interested in I took before our time together. Measuring from the center of our hitch ball to the center of our first hitch pin hole right here we're about 8-1/2 inches. Moving over to the second hitch pin hole about 9-5/8 inches. And then measuring from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1-7/8 inches. This is B5 and J684 certified. And I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
